Cash or PayID?
Cash on the spot is the default. Quick, simple, no app needed. For phones over $1,000 we use PayID or bank transfer instead (safer than carrying that much cash around). You can also pick PayID for any pickup if you prefer the paper trail. We'll confirm method on the day.
Is the online quote final?
Indicative. We confirm on inspection. If your phone matches what you described, we pay the quoted amount. If condition is significantly different we talk it through, and you can walk away anytime without obligation.
How do you decide my offer price?
We track live Melbourne market data daily and adjust for your phone's exact specs and condition. Fair, market-tested, no lowballing. We lock the quote in for 7 days so the number you see is the number we pay.
Do you accept cracked or damaged phones?
Yes, and plenty of damage is fine. Cracked screens, cracked backs, scratches, dents, dodgy cameras or buttons all get priced separately in the quote form, which adjusts as you tick them. The phone does need to power on, hold 80% or higher battery health, and run all-original parts.
What if my phone won't turn on?
Then unfortunately we can't make an offer. We need to verify the phone boots, has a clean IMEI, and isn't linked to someone else's iCloud before we hand over cash, and none of that works at the door with a dead phone. The same goes for phones with non-Apple replacement parts or battery health below 80%.
Do you provide a receipt?
Yes, emailed automatically after pickup. Includes phone IMEI and transaction reference. Happy to issue a tax invoice (ABN registered) if you need one.
Can I sell multiple phones?
Absolutely. Book each separately, we'll combine into one pickup. Bulk lots (5+ phones) get a separate price quote, just contact us first.
Is my data safe?
We never access your data. Please sign out of iCloud/Google/Samsung account before pickup. We do a final factory wipe on receipt as a backstop.
What if I forget to sign out?
Not a disaster, but it'll add ~10 minutes. Bring your iCloud password and we'll walk you through it on the spot.
Do you buy MacBooks?
Not yet, we focus on phones and tablets. If demand picks up, we'll add it. Email us if you have one and we'll consider a private quote.
Why not just sell on Gumtree / Marketplace myself?
You can. We're faster (no listing, no time-wasters), safer (no meeting strangers in carparks), and our offer is usually within $30 to $50 of what you'd net selling privately after fees + time + risk.
Where exactly do you pickup?
Anywhere within roughly 30 minutes' drive of the Melbourne CBD. If you're further out, contact us first. We may still do it for a small surcharge.
Are you a registered business?
Yes, we operate under an Australian ABN. Tax-invoice receipts available on request.
